Paris - Bombay
Karl Lagerfeld is continuing his journey for Chanel Métiers d’Art Pre-Fall 2012. This season, en route to Bombay. Regular at the Grand Palais, the master invited us to a magnificent banquet in the colors of India. Nothing to compare with indian canteens around Gare de l’Est. Silverware sublime, exotic fruits, colored pastries… Completely distracted, I could almost forget the show.
Actually, the first image that came to my mind by discovering the endless table is Indiana Jones movie, the moment when they have dinner with lil Maradja. Anyway, the menu was different. No beetle as starters, or snakes and monkey brains. None of that.
